THE LOOK

NEW RECYCLED PL FABRIC

For fall 21 we introduced new brands Like FLO and NOLO into our online store. These brands design out of Europe and manufacture out of China. The styles are contemporary, well made and economically priced. Of particular focus is the use of recycled PL fabric (rPET). Use of recycled PL fabric, while not new, has gained momentum. The quality and touch of the fabric is really quite a surprise. The fabrics are silky soft to the touch, lightweight, breathable, durable and easily maintained. Its shown that using recycled PL (rPET) saves energy by as much as 60% compared to the process of making virgin polyester, and it generates 70% less CO2 emissions. Is it sustainable? Yes, but there's still progress to be made. For sure using recycled PL (rPET) fabric is better for the environment than the virgin version.

Every season we introduce a collection of gold and silver metallic dresses in silks and jacquards fabrics, in seasonal tones. For summer we brought the softness of silk mesh organza and blended silk lurex for that beloved glitter effect.

Last December we created a custom full length version of our Fall 2016 Cassandra Dress for April Star, as captured by Creative Soul Photography and styled by Kiki Tillman. This was all captured on The Real TV Show, and it was most honoring for us to see the images of April looking so stunningly beautiful and confident.

This fall season the dress version of the Cassandra Dress will be available online. The captivating and vibrant mix of colors and textures bring to mind the visual of mix media art and the beauty of interpretation.
